The Day Baby Was Born App by Tommee Tippee

I can’t believe that Monkey is almost two years old! I can still remember the day of his birth. At the time I did not blog about his birth but looking back I really wish I had. I plan to blog about our next little one when we decide to expand our family. There are special times that I wish I could have remembered like doctor’s visits or wished I could’ve jotted down my emotions. I did not have a pregnancy journal but looking back I again wish I had.

My pregnancy was really smooth. No morning sickness or discomforts. To sum it up it was perfect. So prefect that my Monkey decided to stay in my tummy a few more weeks, 41 weeks to be exact. By that time I was ready to have he out. Yes, because of the discomfort I now felt but mostly because I couldn’t wait any longer to hold him in my arms. I did not know what the true meaning of unconditional love was until I held him in my arms. We schedule to have him induced on November 11th. I got up that morning with butterflies in my tummy and short cramping. It thought it was because I was nervous and excited that my baby was going to be born. We drove to the hospital early that morning and my cramps got a bit stronger. I didn’t think nothing of it. Once admitted and placed in my room my doctor informed me that I was already in labor! What?! Monkey decided on his own that he would be born on Verteran’s Day. I felt small pains here an there but at around noon I need to have the doctor give me the meds! After that I fell asleep during most of the labor. Then came the heavy pushing and at 5:45pm that day Monkey was born. I was amazed and my hubby cried. It was a life changing moment that I will never forget.

Tommee Tippee's The Day Baby Was Born™ created a new application for mommy’s-to-be. It is a free web application that automatically gathers information about the day your child was born, creating a storybook that you can treasure and share. I wish it had existed when I was pregnant! To see a sample storybook created with The Day Baby Was Born click here: http://tommeetippee.sierrabravo.net/pdf/tt_storybook_example2b.pdf or to watch a video click here: http://www.thedaybabywasborn.com/?t=video

It has so many cool features to capture your baby’s birth experience. One of the things I like about the app is that you can add short blurbs on your pregnancy milestones like when you found out the baby’s sex or even when you felt that first kick! You can add pictures, list the birth information, feature current events on the date of your baby’s birth! All of it would be documented in one place. No need to go back to Facebook, blog, or twitter pages to retrace your posts. One feature that I absolutely LOVE is that you can write a little note to your baby before it’s born. How sweet is that!

When we decide to expand our family you can bet that I will have The Day Baby Was Born application from Tommee Tippee. It’s is a simple and wonderful way to have a lasting memory of your pregnancy and the moment your baby arrived.
