I am a 34 year old working mommy to Lil Baby Bootie who is the new love of my life and married to an extremely supportive husband. I was born and raised in Texas, have two degrees under my belt, worked in and out of local government and IT jobs over the years, now an "official paper pusher". I'm a first time mommy who desperately wants to be a stay at home mom like the rest of you bloggers but I just can't beat my employer’s healthcare plan and with a little one and daredevil husband you can never be too careful.
Hubby proudly severed in the ARMY, a native of Pennsylvania, and we both and really, really love fast cars ;). I have a 2002 Trans AM WS6 and hubby has a 2008 Shelby GT 500. Vroom! Vroom! (Yes, they are gas guzzlers and not very "green" cars BUT I do make up for it in other areas of my life trying to be green. Or at least limit my carbon footprint). But what can I say I love American Muscle.
I'm stumbling my way around First Time Mommy Hood, breastfeeding drama, sleepless nights and honestly loving every minute of it! As much as breastfeeding takes away from other things I could be doing, like sleep, it really is the best thing for my son. I plan to continue breastfeeding him up to the suggested 18 months.
We have two cats and one dog that are all a handful. Our cats are very friendly, affectionate, and loveable. The dog is very loyal, protective, and such a baby! We love to spoil them. They bring such peace and calmness to my life. Don't all pets do that? After a long day, I like to sit on the couch, have one of my cats (or both) sit curled up in my lap as I gently stroke their soft fur. Ah.
I LOVE to bake! Anything Chocolate is the best: cakes, pies, cookies, etc. I can’t wait to bake for my son! I've been thinking about taking a cake decorating class.
I enjoy spending QT with my family, reading a good book or magazine, watching movies, shopping, baking sweets, playing with the pets, and of course entering giveaways!
